Brecon Corries secured a valuable point after coming back from 0-2 down to draw with Goytre in their Ardal South East clash at the Rich Field.

The Monmouthshire visitors broke the deadlock after 15 minutes when Corries keeper Steve Price saw his clearance charged down by Lewis Green, and the Goytre player turned the loose ball into an empty net.

The lead was doubled after 26 minutes when Tom Meechan found the back of the net with an unmarked header from a Lewis McCauley cross back into the danger area, after the Corries defence failed to clear their lines.

Corries grabbed a goal back after Paul Keddle's far post effort from a 42nd-minute corner was turned behind for another corner, from which Joel Evans bundled the ball over the line from another Joe Cooper set-piece.

Corries levelled midway through the second half when former Hay St Mary’s midfielder Jack Biggs netted from a corner, drawing his team level and giving them hope of a winner

Chris Ham had two good chances to secure victory for Goytre in the closing stages but struck the woodwork on the first occasion, before Price made a crucial close-range save
