THE golfing season drew to a close at Builth Wells Golf Club with the Elmer Sayce Cup competition followed by supper and presentation of prizes.

The winner of the Elmer Sayce and ending the season on a high note was teenager Grace Edwards with a very good score of 66 net, four shots clear of runner up Jayne Wynn on 70, after a count back from Kara Parker also on 70. Sheila Saer on 85 won best gross.

Grace has won numerous silver cups during the season and had her handicap reduced from 35 to 18.

Other prize-winners were:- Dinterwood Cup - Kim Allen 36 pts; Sue Parkin Cup - Jayne Wynn 36 pts; Seniors Cup - Enid Evans 35 pts; Bradley Bogey - Grace Edwards -1; Bunnies (beginners) Cup - Celia Speake 27 pts; Summer Eclectic - Kara Parker; Birdies -Sherrie Edwards 12; Macmillan Silver Spoons - Chris Hughes 30 points.
