Last weekend the annual golf match between Cradoc Ladies and Brecon Ladies was played in ideal conditions at Cradoc.

This shield was donated by Mrs Maureen Clegg who was captain of Cradoc in 1982. It was part of her efforts to foster a better relationship between the two clubs.

She would no doubt be delighted to see how the two clubs now support one another when the opportunity arises.

This match is played annually, at home one year and away the following year.

The match consisted of six players in three teams of two playing Four Ball Better Ball.

The winners this year were Cradoc Ladies who retained the shield - playing very well and winning two matches.

The Cradoc team consisted of Diane Davies; Ronnie Cresswell; Janice Williams; Fiona Jones; Alison Matthews and Steph Jenkins.
