Builth Wells Rotary Club tees-off to a flying start for their 2019 Charity Golf Day, which will be held at Builth Wells Golf Club on July 5.
The club have recently been visited by Samantha Morgan from Howdens Joinery. Keen to help the charities involved, Howden’s Joinery have started the ball rolling by presenting the club with a generous sponsorship cheque.
This year will be the sixth Annual Charity Golf Day that Builth Wells Rotary has hosted. This event is open to any teams willing to support the day and compete for the numerous quality prizes presented. There are various awards i.e. ‘nearest the pin’ and even ‘best dressed’.
The charities supported are Shelter Box, which provides a survival box able to sustain a family of 10 in disaster torn areas. Also, Polio Plus helping to eradicate polio throughout the world, and also numerous local charities.
The success of the day relies on sponsorship from local business and the generosity of the teams, some from as far away as Newport.
