Riders and spectators travel from far and wide to compete and take in the event, which relies upon a variety of good willing landowners to provide the majority of the route.

Sponsored by Rock Oil, the event is supported by Dyfed-Powys Police, and Natural Resources Wales.

The first Welsh Two Day Trial took place in 1951 and was originally created by an English man from Gloucestershire. The course had 78 entries, although there were only 68 starters at the event.

Mid Wales is now preparing to host the Enduro GP of Wales at the beginning of August which will see the best in the world competing in the Rhayader area.
