On Thursday, March 27, Betty Jones celebrated her 100th birthday.

Betty celebrated at Trenewydd, a Shaw Healthcare home in Llanfaes, Brecon.

Her family attended the occasion alongside her fellow residents and staff. Party nibbles and entertainment in the form of singer, Holly Richards, were on hand.

The day was spent singing along to all of Betty’s favourites with a cake made by her friend.

Liz McLean and Christ College pupils also attended the occasion with a balloon and birthday tiara, singing to mark the special birthday.

For her 100th birthday, Betty received her card from King Charles and Queen Camilla.

She often speaks fondly of the wonderful life she has led and when asked about how it feels to turn 100, she said: "It has been a privilege to witness four generations of my family".

Betty continued her celebrations on Friday with another party full of family and friends.
