Brecon Specsavers has chosen Brecon and District Mind as its Charity of the Year, kicking off the partnership in time for ‘Time to Talk’ day on Thursday, February 6.
To launch the collaboration, Specsavers will be holding a fun and engaging fundraiser in store, inviting customers to answer the question: “What animal has eyes bigger than its brain?”
For a £1 donation, participants will have the chance to win a special goody bag, while supporting a fantastic cause.
Brecon and District Mind provides mental health support and services across the community. This partnership will help raise essential funds and awareness for those in need.
Erin Havard, Store Manager at Brecon Specsavers, said: "The reason we have chosen Mind as our charity of the year is because it was important for us to choose somewhere local and every member of staff appreciates how important looking after your mental health is. We appreciate all the work you do and the least we can do is support you along the way.”
Gethin Amoss, manager at Brecon and District Mind, added: "We are incredibly grateful to Specsavers for choosing us as their Charity of the Year. Partnerships like this help us to continue providing mental health services for those who need them most.”
“We’re excited to work together throughout the year to promote mental well-being in Brecon, Hay-on-Wye, Talgarth, Crickhowell and Sennybridge,” he said.
The partnership will see Specsavers supporting Brecon and District Mind through a range of fundraising activities and awareness campaigns over this year. Customers are encouraged to take part in the Time to Talk Day challenge and help raise funds for this vital cause.
