A 78-year-old man is set to appear in court next month relating to three instances of livestock worrying.

Ronald William Robinson, from Pant-y-dwr, north of Rhayader, faces three charges of being the owner of a dog worrying sheep.

The charges claim that Robinson was the owner of a dog worrying sheep three times on February 9 this year, at Alltllyd Farm, Hendrerhiw Farm and Cefn-Llech Farm - all near Pant-y-dwr.

Robinson was due to appear at Llandrindod Wells Magistrates’ Court on October 12, but did not attend.

The case was adjourned and he is due to appear again on November 9.
