The Old Railway Line Garden Centre has announced that its first-ever Christmas children’s book, The Magic of a Christmas Gift, has sold out, raising an incredible £2,515.29 for their two Charities of the Year.
Written by team member Matt Lewis and beautifully illustrated by Amy Willis, the book captured the hearts of readers of all ages, sharing a story of kindness, friendship, and the true spirit of giving.
The overwhelming support for the book ensured that all profits will now be donated to two extraordinary charities:
• Be More Frank, a special fund under the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust, which provides vital support for families affected by childhood cancer in Herefordshire, Powys, and surrounding areas.
• Ewing’s Sarcoma Research Trust, in partnership with the Bone Cancer Research Trust, which is dedicated to advancing research through Eif’s Ewing Sarcoma Research Fund.
“We are so grateful for the community’s support in making The Magic of a Christmas Gift such a success,” said Matt Lewis, the book’s author.
“The funds raised will go directly toward helping these incredible charities, honouring the memories of Frank and Eif, and making a real difference in the lives of others.”
The book’s heart-warming story and message of kindness resonated with readers across the region, and the Old Railway Line Garden Centre is deeply thankful to everyone who purchased a copy.
The book’s story line was also used as the basis of the Garden Centre’s popular annual Christmas Video, which was also a massive success, viewed over 75,000 times online.
