A Powys restaurant has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Caterplus @ Llys Glan Yr Afon, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 1 Llys Glan Yr Afon, Canal Road, Newtown, Powys was given the maximum score after assessment on December 16, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Powys's 415 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 269 (65%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
