The Brecon Rotary Club team has gained second place at the bowls Annual Triples Competition in Llandrindod Wells.

The team of Paul Tambling, Maurice Parry, and Brian Newman took part in the 98th edition of the competition on Tuesday, July 4 at Llandrindod Wells Bowling Club.

The weather proved to be unfavourable on the day with the greens under water in some places. The competition was cut short at the end of three rounds. 

Brecon did well and were unbeaten with a score of 23 to 2 and came a respectable second to Pontllanffriath Rotary Club, who were unbeaten with a score of 26 to 2.
