Brecon Corries suffered a third defeat in their last four Ardal South East outings on Friday night following a 4-2 reverse at the hands of Goytre under the Plough Road floodlights.
The Monmouthshire club broke the deadlock after striker Chris Ham converted a disputed eighth minute penalty awarded for handball by referee Kris Hames.
The Corries were back on level terms when veteran forward Paul Keddle powerfully headed home at the near post from Craig Evans' 20th minute corner.
In an end-to-end opening 45 minutes, Ham was unable to keep his half-volley under the crossbar in the 31st minute, before Goytre regained the lead two minutes later when Jac Evans' 25-yard free-kick beat goalkeeper Steve Price at his near post.
The visitors were back on level terms in first-half stoppage-time when Corey Evans' 30-yard strike surprised Goytre goalkeeper Joseph Massaro and flew in just under the crossbar to the delight of the travelling support.
The Monmouthshire club regained the lead in the 64th minute after breaking down the right flank and substitute Adam Kapan's cross was finished by Alfie Young when the former Newport County youngster fired the ball into the top corner of the goal from the edge of the penalty area.
Ham went close again from the edge of the penalty area in the 67th minute before Corey Evans saw his deflected 25-yard free-kick comfortably saved by Massaro.
It was then turn of Steve Price to keep out a Lewis Iles' drive from the edge of the penalty area in the 71st minute before the Plough Road outfit increased their advantage two minutes later when Iles' 20-yard free-kick found the back of the net.
Time was running out for Brecon Corries to find a way back into the match but they continued to press until the final whistle.
Joel Evans' header from a 78th minute cross on the right was comfortably saved before substitute Matty Tong directed an effort wide of the target four minutes later.
Luke Roughley fired a low shot narrowly wide of the far post in the 88th minute before the Brecon Corries midfielder received a second yellow card three minutes later.
To cap a disappointing evening for the visitors, manager Damien Daniels and assistant, Paul Burke, were removed from the dugout before the final whistle sounded.
