Brecon resident Taniya Morris MBE has made a triumphant return to the town following the completion of a 2,600km solo cycle.

Taniya returned to Brecon on Friday, July 26 with a reception held outside Theatr Brycheiniog.

The charitable foundation provides psychological, psychosocial, and targeted humanitarian support to Ukrainian families and children affected by the war.

Taniya cycled, on average, more than 100km each day through the UK, The Netherlands, Germany, and Poland, to reach her destination.

Taniya has incredible raised more than £9,200 through her efforts, which is now set to be donated to Voices of Children.

On her return to Brecon last week, Taniya was met by many friends and Mayor of Brecon, Cllr John Powell.

It also proved to be a musical return, thanks to a tuneful greeting from members of the Band of the Prince Of Wales.
