A school sports team will be taking to the pitch in style thanks to a donation of new kits from a local company.
Ysgol Trefonnen in Llandrindod Wells have thanked Kiernan Structural Steel for their recent sponsorship.
The office for Kiernan Steel Wales Ltd is based at Waterloo Road in the town.
Ysgol Trefonnen have been taking part in sporting events with kits that were several years old and not in great condition.
After contacting Kiernan Structural Steel, it was agreed they would sponsor the school team and pay for several new kits for the team to perform in.
The school has said the new kits would not have been possible without the kind donation and it shows a willingness from them to support the local community.
Cathy James, Health and Well-being lead at Ysgol Trefonnen, said: “On behalf of Ysgol Trefonnen, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Kiernan Steel for the generous donation of the sports kit.
“Their support means the world to us, and we are thrilled to wear such smart, stylish, and eye-catching attire at our community events.”
“We will wear it with pride, knowing it represents the wonderful support we have received. We are very grateful for their kindness and contribution,” she added.
Paul Thompson, Year 5 and 6 teacher at the school, said: “When I contacted Kiernan Steel, I was amazed by the kindness show to us. We are truly grateful to their donation, and are excited to wear these lovely kits to great success.”
Niall Donnelly, of Kiernan Steel, added: “We are delighted to sponsor a local school, and we hope it brings them luck for years to come.”
