BUILTH Wells Bowling Club Ladies are the winners of the Brecon and Radnor league for the first time in ten years.
Captain Sue Francis said it was the perfect end to the season and everyone played their part in winning the title whether they played in one or all of the games.
An evening of celebration was held in The Cosy Corner in Builth Wells.
Builth Wells Bowling Club have retained the borough cup to make it four wins in a row. A very tight game against Brecon which went down to the last bowl of the last end with Builth winning by one point.
Skip John Dakers pulled the game winning shot out of the bag in front of the club house with 20 Builth players holding their breath and 20 Brecon players biting their nails.
As always a very enjoyable day at Brecon and the ladies putting on wonderful refreshments.
