Llandrindod Wells’ Jess Sims and partner Laura Daniels got their Commonwealth Games pairs challenge back on track this morning.
The pair suffered a shock defeat to India in their opening match but returned to 2,500 capacity Broadbreach Green bowls centre on Tuesday to face Jersey.
They beat the Channel island’s pair of Rachel Macdonald and Christine Grimes 22-14. Jersey.
Sims and Daniels are due to face Northern Ireland at midnight (UK time) and then South Africa at 3am.
The Welsh women’s triples team, which includes Emma Woodcock, of Knighton, are on a winning run on the Gold Coast.
She and teammates Caroline Taylor and Anwen Butten defeated Zambia, 23-20, in their first match in the early hours of Tuesday and then overcame Namibia, by the tightest of margins, 15-14.
They are currently second in section B and are back in action against group leaders New Zealand at 7am (UK time) on Wednesday.
