As the Easter Holidays got into full swing and with blue skies above, the 2025 season got underway recently at Talgarth Bowling Club.

On this occasion, the honour of the opening delivery went to Club stalwart and Vice Chair Norman Maurice, who expressed delight at being accorded the privilege.

Club Chair, Tom congratulated Norman and went on to thank everyone who attended the 2025 opening day, including a few new faces, as well as members of Talgarth Town Council, including Cllr Louise Elston-Reeves, Mayor, and County Councillor for Talgarth William Powell.

Club Chair, Tom Jones spoke at the launch: "We wish all our members - longstanding and newcomers; female and male a great season, as the Club goes into our 105th year."

Cllr Louise Elston-Reeves commented: "I was pleased to see that bowls locally is committed to ensuring that the sport represents and includes all sections of our society. The Town Council wishes all members a successful season in 2025."

County Councillor William Powell added: "There is a real sense of pride and camaraderie at Talgarth Bowling Club - and it was great to be invited.

“We have also been asked back for a taster session early in the season - and I look forward to returning with colleagues on that occasion."
